Contra Costa Bar Association
Monday, April 29, 11:45 am – 1:30 pm
Everybody knows we have rights. But few people really understand them. Litigants sometimes take their dispute “to the street” when they decide to represent themselves in court – but without the benefit of legal counsel, things can get interesting. Knowing the information available to self-represented litigants can help mediators be more effective in mediating with them. Come hear a panel of three seasoned mediators discuss the dynamics of mediation when one (or more) of the parties are self-represented.
