Description
Learn about the patent claim drafting process through an interactive workshop led by a Supervisory Patent Examiner. Attendees will learn about the importance of drafting claims to the success of a patent application, and attendees will develop a better appreciation of how a patent examiner views a claim during the course of examination. Attendees should have an intermediate knowledge of the intellectual property system, and patents specifically. It is recommended that attendees take the previous course “Introduction to IP with an Emphasis on Patents” as well as the previous “Patent Application Drafting Workshop” before taking this workshop. This event is free and open to the public.
Please note that the Silicon Valley USPTO is a federal facility. Visitors are required to present a valid form of government-issued identification (driver license or passport) and may be subject to security screening to gain access.
