Dr. Stalcup is now, and has been, the leading expert in California for over three decades (beginning with his time at the Haight Ashbury free clinic) on the science of addiction and its effects on the brain.

Many of our judges and lawyers in Alameda County have heard Dr. Stalcup speak in the past and they have found him to be an articulate, passionate, and entertaining communicator. They have also uniformly found his presentations to have been extremely informative, compelling and helpful in their professional roles as well as in their personal lives in coming in contact with persons afflicted with the disease of addiction.
