JDC Immigrant Legal Defense Program presents the Immigrant Legal Defense Updates: Latest Strategies in Light of New Enforcement Efforts. A seminar to discuss the latest enforcement tactics by Immigration Customs and Enforcement under priorities set by the Trump administration, the effect on due process and access to counsel, and regional strategies for effective attorney coordination and legal resources to support immigrant communities.
This program offers attorneys a window into the effects of current enforcement activity under the Trump Administration and the legal community's response to it. A model example of attorney coordination and community resources is discussed, along with the latest strategies for effective legal response in the event of arrests and detentions, and why universal representation is a more important goal than ever.
