Law Offices of Matthew J. WittemanMr. Witteman is a trial attorney with 28 years litigation experience, including complex litigation, business, real property, and personal injury matters. He is a member of the State Bar of California’s Subcommittee on Agri-Business, and a member of the Sonoma and Alameda County Bar Associations. He has developed a professional interest and passion for issues affecting agricultural and business interests in Sonoma County, and given talks throughout the County on California’s new Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (“SGMA”). He is admitted to practice in California and federal courts and administrative agencies. He is a Sonoma County grower and resident, and is the 2018 president elect of the Rotary Club of Sebastopol Sunrise.
Mr. Witteman will speak about SGMA, its background and common law roots, the current state of its implementation, and challenges and opportunities it presents.
