Corporate and Intellectual Property





The Corporate section is welcomed back to the SFPA and plans on presenting MCLE programs in the spring/summer of 2015 with a focus on topics specific to corporate law.


Intellectual Property 


 Barbara Occhiogrosso

The Corporate and Intellectual Property Practice Section schedules meetings and seminars where paralegals may learn best practices and policies, and current legal and regulatory requirements. The Practice Section also hosts social events where interested individuals can meet other attorneys, paralegals, and legal professionals working in corporate and intellectual property law.



 Vincent C. Yasay

The Litigation Practice Section schedules monthly meetings, mandatory continuing legal education seminars, roundtables, and vendor presentations for attorneys, paralegals, and legal professionals working in litigation.

Real Estate



The goal of the Real Estate Practice Section is to help members obtain more knowledge, skills, and tools for both the legal and real estate industries. The Practice Section provides MCLE credit seminars, paralegal-real estate practitioners networking, group discussion, monthly breakfast meetings with guest speakers, and monthly Practice Section meetings. All SFPA paralegals with an interest in real estate can benefit from joining this section.

Trusts and Estates



The Trusts and Estates Practice Section schedules brown bag lunch meetings with mandatory continuing legal education seminars focused on trusts and estates.

Family Law


 Greg Johnson

The Family Law sections seeks to offer members MCLE and professional opportunities in family law through guest speakers, workshops, and volunteer events in collaboration with law firms and nonprofit agencies.
