Who is the Resume Clearinghouse?
Rhoda Singer, Administrator, receives all resumes, processes and inputs them into a database system, and forward them to Lyn Yarrington. Rhoda also receives all job orders, sends photocopies of all redacted resumes to employers and maintains data logs of prospective clients from a predetermined list.
Lyn Yarrington, Resume Term Coordinator and Analyst, analyzes and summarizes the qualifications of each applicant on a cover sheet. Lyn assigns the resume and expiration date. reviews the data logs which indicate dates on which all resumes were received/renewed and the current expiration dates.
Eryka Fraczek. Manager and Co-founder, receives copies of the resumes and their analysis. Eryka also receives copies of job orders prepared by Rhoda and determines which resumes will be submitted to each client. She then notices those Clearinghouse members who have been selected by the employer to arrange and interview.
SFPA Resumes Clearinghouse is effective and efficient.
What are your responsibilities?
Paralegals are responsible for updating their resumes and for notifying the Clearinghouse to renew the active status of their resume after the expiration of six months. Approximately two weeks before the expiration date you will receive a postcard from the Clearinghouse informing you of the upcoming expiration of your resumes active status. Members resumes will not be automatically reactivated unless a request for activation has been received.
To request activation call the Resume Clearinghouse at (415) 777-2390.
Although keeping your resume active requires a phone call every six months informing us that you wish your resume to remain active, its worth every effort. Perhaps unbeknownst to you, your resume is regularly forwarded to clients subscribing to our service. Of the numerous resumes forwarded, a client will usually select only two or three people to interview. Therefore, it may be a while before your resume is selected. You can be sure, however, that the client has screened virtually all competition by that time.
